In its network television debut, the Windspire® wind turbine was installed at the latest “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” project in Indianapolis, on the show’s season finale 2-hour episode episode that will air on ABC Sunday, May 17 at 7 EST.  ABC’s award-winning show selected the Windspire wind turbine as the green technology for the two-hour season finale because of its unique technology and consumer appeal.

The “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” show team was initially impressed with the Windspire’s sleek design and quiet operation, but the small wind turbine quickly became the “star” of the job site, garnering much attention from the crew and surrounding community. Windspire’s plug ‘n produce™ design connects directly to the household power supply, offsetting electricity use and reducing energy costs.

The new home was turned over to the McFarland family  with the anticipated “move that bus” cheered on by a large crowd of friends and supporters from the neighborhood. Mariah Power was proud to be a part of the project and to help contribute clean wind energy to an inspiring and deserving family.

Mariah Power donated the Windspire to the McFarland Family and partnered with Windspire dealers Blue Sun Renewable Energy www.bluesunrenew.com of North Carolina and Northwest Geothermal www.northwestgeothermal.com/ to install the Windspire at the new home.
